ADT is running a pretty solid deal right now. You get a full security system and a Google Nest Doorbell at no cost, plus a $100 Visa gift card when you sign up for a new monitoring agreement. There is an installation charge between $99 and $199 depending on the size of your home, but the equipment itself is covered.
For what you’re getting, that’s a good starting point. Let me break down what’s actually included.

What Is Included in the ADT Deal?
The free equipment package includes ADT’s Command panel (their touchscreen keypad), door and window sensors, a motion detector, and a Google Nest Doorbell camera. The Command panel is the brain of the system. It has a built-in cellular radio, so it communicates with ADT’s monitoring center without needing a landline or depending on your WiFi.
The Google Nest Doorbell is a nice add-on. It records in HD, has night vision, and supports two-way talk so you can see and speak to whoever is at the door from your phone. Since ADT has a partnership with Google, the Nest cameras integrate directly into the ADT app alongside your alarm system. You manage everything from one place.
On top of the equipment, you get a $100 Visa gift card. That basically offsets a good chunk of the installation cost if you’re on the lower end of the $99 to $199 range.
ADT Monitoring Cost
The monitoring is where the monthly cost comes in. ADT’s base monitoring plan starts at $42.99 per month, which gets you 24/7 professional monitoring, the ADT app, smart home automation, and dispatching for police, fire, and medical emergencies.
If you want to add cameras, the plan goes up to $48.99 per month. That adds cloud video storage, live camera feeds in the app, and smart alerts from the cameras.
ADT does require a monitoring agreement with a minimum of 12 months. If you finance any additional equipment, the contract extends to match the financing terms. An early termination fee applies if you cancel before the agreement is up, so make sure you’re comfortable with the commitment before signing.

Is This Deal Worth It?
If you’ve been thinking about getting a security system, this is one of the better entry points I’ve seen from ADT. Normally the equipment alone can run $369 or more, so getting the system and a Nest Doorbell at no equipment cost is a real savings. The $100 Visa gift card is a nice bonus on top of that.
